Don was an ASMP member for 44 years, having become a life member in 1996 after joining in November of 1958.  He passed away at his home in Midlothian on February 19th.  You can read an extended obituary by Ellen Roberson of the Richmond Times-Dispatch HERE.

Our chapter has announced the establishment of an scholarship to fund a one year chapter membership for a promising student photogapher studying in the region in the memory of Philip Beaurline.  Philip was a founding chapter member and long-time member of our chapter board who passed away after a short illness on January 18, 2013.

events

Get together with other members to brainstorm ideas for chapter event programming next year.  From 6:00 - 8:00pm on the deck at Legend Brewing.  In case of rain, we'll be indoors in the private meeting room.

A members only event which will begin with an opportunity to find new homes for your unwanted cameras, lighing and grip equipment, gadgets, books, and virtually anything else you don't need anymore.  Perhaps you'll bring home some different toys too.

The 4x15 will feature three speakers, not four, to give us at least one hour for the swap meet.
